My Life As A Reality TV ShowSample

Yesterday, we read some words from Paul that weren’t super positive. He talked about his imperfections and struggles with sin. But, today’s passage is actually the second half of yesterday’s. It’s a totally different tone because Paul moves the conversation away from his sin and towards God’s grace. If you’re willing to admit, like Paul, that you’re not perfect, then you know we are in need of God’s grace. The goodness of God is so infinite that He loves us despite our imperfections. However, there are times we still care a lot about what other people think of us. We perform and put masks on so they’ll accept us. But, God loves us despite our performance. Our lives are meant to have an audience of one - our Heavenly Father. But, maybe in your life, that doesn’t feel like it’s enough for you. Maybe you want that girl or boy at school to like you, your family to accept you or those kids to think you’re cool. We’re all performing for someone, the question is, who? The crazy part is, despite all this performing, God loves us for who we truly are, not who we try to make ourselves. Is it hard to believe God loves your imperfections that you wish you could fix? Think about what those imperfections might be today.
