My Life As A Reality TV Show

DAY 7 OF 15

Paul is basically the most famous Christian ever. If you don’t know who he is, he is the guy who wrote most of the New Testament, including the Bible passage we are looking at today. People think of the Paul as the perfect Christian, like the Lebron James of Christianity. That’s just not the case though. Paul would be the first to admit that he was less than perfect and he had a lot of struggles. In fact, he wrote about them in a letter to a church in Rome. Paul would refer to himself as the “chief of sinners” actually. Now, how could a guy that’s this “good” of a Christian, be so negative about himself. It’s not because Paul hated himself or thought he was a loser. Paul actually figured something out that I think we all should. Paul realized that he wasn’t perfect. He realized that no matter how close he got to Jesus, he didn’t deserve God’s grace. Paul had humility in always remembering that it was about God’s perfection, not his own performance or personality. The best thing we can do for ourselves is recognize that we aren’t perfect. In fact, no one is, so it’s impossible to convince anyone that we are. So, my question for you today is, “Are you willing to admit to yourself, and to those around you, that you’re not perfect?”
