Read To Hear : Book Of GenesisSample

Jacob Flees From Laban
He said to them, “I see that your father’s attitude toward me is not what it was before, but the God of my father has been with me. You know that I’ve worked for your father with all my strength, yet your father has cheated me by changing my wages ten times. However, God has not allowed him to harm me.’ (Genesis 31:5-7, NIV)
As Jacob received more blessings, a rumor began to spread among Laban’s children that Jacob had taken over Laban’s possessions and made them his own. Jacob also noticed the changes in Laban’s attitude towards him, and that’s when God commanded Jacob to return to the land of his relatives. Jacob consistently followed God’s commands. Even though Laban frequently changed Jacob’s wages, Jacob continued to work with all his strength until God commanded him to leave Laban’s place. Jacob lived a life of submission to God’s voice, not his own desires.
