Close by Your Side 

Many years ago, there was a President called Abraham Lincoln in the United States of America. One day he was walking through the main street of a big city where thousands of people were present. They showered flowers at him and everybody was shouting “Long live the President.” In the crowd, a little girl shouted, “Mr. President, please come to my house.” The President thought for a moment and said, “Darling child, take me home.” The security officer did not allow the President to go there. But the President said, “No, I can’t disappoint this little child, she has invited me home.” He went to her house, kissed her and made her happy and came back and joined the parade. 

Beloved, if an earthly President was unable to ignore the call of a little girl, will your heavenly Father let you down, when you call to Him? Never. God is a good Father. He has created you. He loves to listen to you. Speak with Him today. Pour out your heart’s desires. God, your Father is very near to those who call upon His name. All you have to do is to pray and trust in His promises. He will hear you and save you from your troubles. Be of good cheer. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, You are a good God who hears my prayers. You are not far away. You are very close to me. You are in me. I bring all my heart’s desires to You. Lord, satisfy me to the fullest. Let joy overflow in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
