Unchanging Word 

From the beginning of time, there are innumerable changes in the world. But, one thing has stood the test of time. It is ‘God’s word’ which stands forever. Many years ago, when I went to the United States of America, I was taken to Disney World. There I saw a show called the “House of Presidents”. They would show wax models of all the Presidents of the USA. It looked very real, almost as if the presidents had come back to life. These models would rise up and say “Welcome, I am George Washington” and talk about its great achievements. Similarly, in the case of Theodore Roosevelt, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, etc. too. Everyone would get excited that their Presidents have come to life and they would rejoice. But, finally when the show gets over and the curtains are down, the wax models sit down and are back to their position. Their so called lives would disappear. People become upset. 

Though these Presidents held very great positions in this world, all of them faded away. My friend, things may change and people may pass away. But, God says, “From eternity I am there always and I am God.” Everything is subject to change except God and His word. That is why the Bible says that God’s word stands forever. Lean on His word and prosper. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, thank You for revealing the greatness of Your word. You never change. Your word is unchanging. I choose to believe every word in the Bible. Speak to me and give ‘God’s word’ to me. I desire to receive Your word with longing. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
