Blessing For Todayគំរូ

Blood Covenant
Many years ago, a missionary went from Tamil Nadu to Nagaland and ministered among the Naga tribes. When the time came for him to get married, he chose a Naga girl and said, “I am going to marry her.” But her parents refused to give their daughter to him as it was their custom to give their daughter only to a Naga boy from their community. As this missionary desired to settle there and continue the Lord’s ministry, he went to the chief of the village and expressed his desire. The chief commanded a pig to be brought, as it is considered a sacred animal. He cut the pig and poured the blood before everybody and said, “Let this village know that with the blood of this animal I am adopting this young man as my son. With this blood, I am purchasing his citizenship for our village. He will be my son.” Then he was able to get married to that Naga girl.
Even in the Old Testament, blood had to be shed for the remission of sins. Only then a person could be blessed by God. For the very same reason, Jesus Christ gave Himself as a one-time sacrifice. He shed His blood and made a covenant through His blood to shower His immeasurable blessings upon you. Today, you have entered into this covenant and stand on unmerited favour which brings all blessings upon you. Be glad!
Prayer
“Loving heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful salvation through Jesus. Jesus, I thank You for Your atoning blood. Through this blood covenant, I have become a partaker of Your immense blessings. Help me to share this gospel with others with Your power. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
‘Partakers of the blood covenant are partakers of God’s blessings!’

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work. We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
