God Of Families 

When I was a young boy, every morning my parents would spread a mat on the floor and begin our family prayer with songs. Even though I would be sleeping, they would wake me up, make me sit and say, “Praise the Lord”. Even at that young age, my mother constantly advised saying we should seek God as a family. Besides that, even while travelling, we would pray in the morning as well as in the evening. That is why God abides with us and is fulfilling all the promises He made to us. He has anointed everyone in our family with His Holy Spirit in abundance and till this day, He is guiding us as His ambassadors on earth. This is how Joshua too worshipped the Lord with his family and received blessings from Him. 

Yes, my friend, our Lord is a God of families. Every day seek Him as a family, early in the morning. Ask for His protection over your family and guidance in your going out and coming in. Surely, He will come and abide with you. God is always delighted to fulfil His promises in your lives. As Joshua chose to pray as a family, choose to serve the Lord as a family. It brings heaven down to earth. His presence will go before your family and guide every one of you. He will bless your descendants and descendants’ descendants. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, You are the God of families. How good it is to worship You as a family! Just as Joshua worshipped You as a family, fill me and my family too, with Your grace and mercy to serve You whole heartedly. Let Your Holy Spirit guide us. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
