Patience Rewards

An excellent official in an insurance company at the time of promotion, expected the post of “Vice President – Marketing”. When the President called him, he went with great joy. But before entering the room, he calmed his mind and prayed. When he entered the room, the President appreciated him and announced, “I am promoting you as ‘Vice President – Direct Sales’”. The disappointed official said “I receive this with great honour”, and walked out and took it as a challenge. He wrote books, publications and gave lectures. His products sold for millions and later, the President promoted him as, “Vice President – Marketing”. That official is none other than Lee Buck and he is called the “Insurance Guru”. He says, “If I had not waited for those few seconds in prayer before entering the room, I would have lost my temper with the President and walked out, throwing away my job. The peace through prayer at that last step, gave me strength to face that situation, where they tried to demote me. Today, I am on the pinnacle of fame. God did this for me.”

How true it is! A small word of prayer gave him the patience to control his anger and he got what he had desired at last. Pray over all things. Keep calm and God will do the rest for you.

Prayer

“Loving Father, I look up to You to fill me with this wonderful gift of prayer and patience. Help me to guard my mouth during times which test my patience. Make my life a testimony for being patient and so that I will enjoy Your blessing. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

‘Wait with patience; Reap with joy’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
