Like a Hamburger

Everyone would have tasted a ‘Hamburger’. It has a bun split into two halves. In between, it is stuffed with vegetables, mutton cutlet or fish cutlet, sauce, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese, etc. The bun by itself is tasteless. But the stuffed portion gives taste to the burger. Isn’t it? There is a chapter similar to the stuffing in the Hamburger in the Bible too. Yes, it is Psalm 118, the centre chapter of the Bible. It has 29 stuffings in it – Oh! I mean 29 verses! Every verse praises God’s mercy and His goodness. What does this reveal? Just as praise is the centre of the Bible, let praising God for His nature and His goodness become the pivot of your life too, for it adds taste to your life. Munch on every verse of this chapter and have a tasty day!

Beloved, you too should praise God like the psalmist David. David became a king by praising God at all times. Though he was chased and persecuted by all his enemies, he depended on God’s mercy to deliver him. He remembered the miracles done by God for him and his ancestors. It encouraged him and gave hope that God’s promises will never go in vain. My beloved, during happy times and in sad times, choose to praise God with all your heart. God loves the sacrifice of our lips –“Praise”. Praise God and sing your way into your destiny!

Prayer

“Loving Father, Your mercy endures forever. You are my help, my song, my strength and my salvation. You are my God in whom I trust. Thank You for thwarting every dart of my enemy. I live to praise You. Fill me with praises every moment of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

‘Praise is the pivot of a Christian’s life’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
