Always Sheltered

During the Second World War, my grandfather was serving in the British Army. Once, the army stealthily entered into Germany at midnight. When they reached a specific spot, the captain allowed the army personnel to take rest for a while. So, my grandfather dug a trench and lay inside it. When morning came, his trench was completely covered by thick snow. Somehow he managed to survive by breathing the air that came through a small crack. Yet, he was deeply troubled thinking of his family. He began to cry to God. At that time, God gave him an idea. He took the rifle and began to poke the ice with the butt of the rifle. A soldier who was passing by that side, shouted out, “There is some movement over here.” All the other soldiers rushed to his side and they pulled my grandfather out, alive.

Dearly beloved, God’s promise of protection is for you. When my grandfather thought of this God of protection, an idea flashed in his mind through God’s wisdom and he escaped the snares of death. Likewise, when you cry out to God, He will fill you with His wisdom and save you from trouble. Above all, he will even keep you from danger. Nothing is impossible for God. There is no pit from which God cannot lift you. So be of good courage.

Prayer

“Loving Father, thank You for blessing my going out and my coming in. Thank You for Your eyes are always on me to prevent me from falling and to protect me from my troubles. I receive Your wisdom in this area of divine protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

‘Your going out and coming in is preserved’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
