Blessing For Todayគំរូ

Attitude Matters
I read a funny incident once. There was a servant who was always boasting saying, “No one can find fault in me because I follow the Ten Commandments.” One day, the master of the house decided to test him. He said, “If you stay without over-ruling the Ten Commandments for the next twenty minutes, then surely I will give you my horse.” This man was full of joy and happily accepted the task. The master locked him up in a room. After some time, there was whistling and singing coming from the room. When the door was opened, the master asked him, “Did you over-rule any of the commandments?” He said, “No sir!” Then the master asked, “In just ten minutes, what made you so happy?” The man said, “Sir, I know that my master is a good man. So when I complete this task, will he give me only the horse but will he not give the horse-cart too; so I was overjoyed.” Then the master said, “Alas! My son, you have over-ruled a commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor’s things.” I only promised you the horse but you longed for the cart too.
My friend, this is the way in which some people are very boastful about their spiritual life. The Bible tells us that only the humble will be exalted. It is only through the help of the Holy Spirit that you can humble both your worldly and spiritual life.
Prayer
“Loving Father, thank You for speaking to me through this word. It was indeed an eye opener for me. Father, I plead that the grace of Your Holy Spirit will take over my life. Let me not be boastful about my spiritual life on this earth. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work. We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
