Worth the Wait

Once there was a family, where the mother and father loved their son very much. One day, the mother died and the father was unable to take care of his son. So he took him to a good hostel and left him there. The father thought that he had taken care of the boy’s future. After some days when the boy’s birthday came, his father gave some money to the warden and said, “Buy a good birthday present and give it to my son as I am going to another city on business.” The warden too bought everything for the boy. But the boy was very sad and said, “I do not long for these gifts. I want to see my father.”

The little boy did not like the gifts and presents of this world though it was given to him by his father. His focus was only on his father. Imagine how much joy it would have given him when his father came back from his business trip.

My friend, even today this is how you must keep your focus on Jesus. The pleasures of this world are only for a while. Jesus is coming back soon to take you home - your eternal home. So focus on Him. Seek His face and Jesus will fill you with His glory and everlasting joy.

Prayer

“Loving Lord, thank You for speaking to me through Your word. Today, I will wait for Your coming and keep looking at Your radiant face. Yes master, let me not go after the things of this world but only look at Your face and keep waiting for You. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

‘The world is only temporary – your eternal home is permanent’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
