Unlike the rest of the creation, only man has the privilege to reflect the image of God. But, since the fall of mankind, he has deviated from his calling and has been going along the path of destruction until God Himself sent a solution – a Saviour, to save him. 

Sometime ago, a painter who wanted to paint the face of Jesus was looking for a model and finally found a person whose face was filled with radiance. He completed the painting and then sent him away. A few years later, the same painter wanted to paint the portrait of Judas who betrayed Jesus and found a young man. The artist said, “Your face is perfect for Judas.” That young man asked him, “Sir, don’t you remember me? Few years back I posed for you to paint the portrait of Jesus, and at that time you said that my face looks exactly like Jesus.” The painter was shocked to see him and asked him what had happened. He explained to him that with the money the painter had given him he went astray. His life was ruined as the days went by. He said, “When I carried Jesus in my heart I looked like Jesus but now without Jesus, I look like Judas.” 

Yes, my friend, when you too carry Jesus, you behold Him and reflect His radiance. Today, no matter how far you have gone away, turn around and come back to Him. You will be full of joy. 

Prayer

“Loving Lord, thank You for speaking to me through the word today. Father, I pray for Your grace to fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Let me carry You in my heart and shine for Your glory. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
