Day Two 

Welcome to our Daily Devotional for our new series "This Is Us" - During this series we are going to journey through our Freedom Church DNA.  Some of you may know that DNA is like the secret code inside you - the thing that makes you, well, you!  You may also know that God created us in His image and wants us to live our best life.

This week we are looking at our Freedom DNA -  Wildfire and Punch Above our Weight!

Let’s start with Wildfire and look at how David had such a strong love for, and faith in God. 

Wildfire

Expressing outwardly, the work that God has done inwardly, our faith and love will not be contained. We have a contagious passion for Jesus that is raw, real, and unapologetic.

READ:

‘David and Goliath’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 173-180) or in 1 Samuel 16.

Goliath was shouting at Saul and his army - they were afraid. 

None of the soldiers wanted to fight Goliath! 

ASK:

Sometimes things can seem too big for us - like Goliath - however when we remember that God makes us brave and that we have His Wildfire in us, we can do all things through Him. 

REMEMBER:

So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female - Genesis 1:27

SAY:

God created me, 

Magnificent you can see. 

Every cell and part, 

Were designed in His heart. 

From the beginning of creation,

Every clan, tribe and nation. 

Made in His image, 

With purpose, love and to encourage. 

Whatever come what may, 

This is my DNA!
