## Day 3 - The Lord Is My Shepherd Would you believe that when I surrendered my life to God and started reading the Bible, I read it from A to Z but skipped the Psalms? People assumed because I was a singer/musician I would love the Psalms. I didn't. It just didn't resonate with me. Then 2 years later, I was having a really bad day and I felt 'heavy' and I was so afraid I was having a relapse. 'Cause God freed me from 20+ years living with depression and longing for death only 2 years ago. So I opened the Bible that morning and was led by the Spirit to Psalm 5. "O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God." (Ps 5: 1,2 NLT) BAM! From that moment on I was hooked on the Psalms. David has become my best friend. I get him. He gets me. I love his honesty. I read on to Psalm 23. I know (now) it's a classic. But to me, it's so fresh, so... I don't know.
