## Day 2 - The Lord Is Ready To Heal Me Every Isaiah song is special to me, but I especially like this one, Isaiah 38/40. It's got two themes: the cry for healing and God's promise: if you trust (in) Him, you'll find new strength and new hope; you'll run and not grow weary, walk, and not be faint. Before I surrendered my life and everything to God, my Papa, I struggled for over 20 years with depression, a longing for death, and addictions. In my life without God, I always felt close to eagles — those beautiful, majestic birds. After I gave my life to Him, one of the first verses the Holy Spirit breathed into me was Isaiah 40:31. "Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not [be] faint." I love that verse. It also reminds me of what Jesus told us: "Remain in me, and I'll remain in you." (John 15:4) He freed me from depression, but I all too well understand the pain Hezekiah was in (Isaiah 38). I relate to his cry for life. I am now free from depression. But I am not bulletproof. If I let go of His hand, even one day, I put myself at risk. So I start every day with Him. With His Word. 'Cause I need it. I can't and don't want to live without it. His words are like a fine comb combing through my spirit, removing everything that's not for me. If you're dealing with depression, anxiety, or mental or physical illness, sing His Words out loud. Give your pain or struggle to Him. He wants you to be alive. Fully alive!
