Works of Faith 

When a man of God was taken to heaven in his spirit, God told His angels to show him the devil’s mansion. This man of God saw the devil sitting on his throne, just like God was seated on His throne. Many angels were standing near him to do his bidding. Satan appeared very sad but he was very beautiful to behold. The whole atmosphere was gloomy. There were separate sections for sickness, sin, curse, etc. Every department head looked very evil. God’s angel said to the man of God that the devils could not see them because of God’s power. Moreover when the angel whispered the name “Jesus” in that place, the devils began to tremble and fall off their seats. This man of God heard the devils crying out saying “Has He come?” and they were filled with fear. Then the angel left him back in his home. 

The devil also believes and trembles at the name of Jesus. His name is wonderful, mighty, glorious and supreme! But, what is the difference between the devil and a child of God? It is the works of faith! Beloved, the devil trembles but cannot do any good. But, a child of God is able to believe in the power of God and also do good works to establish His kingdom. Today’s Bible passage elaborates that your faith is futile without any good works. Look at the people around you. Do good to them and be blessed. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for the mighty name of Jesus. I believe there is power in the name of Jesus. Open my eyes to the needy and suffering people. I believe that I am blessed to bless others. Help me to have a generous heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
