Are You Stumbling? 

The people of the world are confused about everything happening around them. But for us, the children of God, it is so wonderful to know that we can rest safely in the promises of God. 

Many years ago, we traveled in a supersonic plane called the ‘Concorde’. This plane flies at the speed of sound. When we were sitting in this plane, it took off at top speed and it shot straight through clouds and into the skies at a great speed. Fire seemed to be coming out of the plane. When we looked down we saw the world in motion. And at one point, it steadied its speed and the captain said, “We are miles away from the earth”. And the plane seemed to be hovering and not moving at all. Though it was travelling at several miles per hour, we couldn’t feel the speed. We could not see the clouds; earth seems to be very far away. We were very high up in the sky and it was very peaceful. We were so happy to be filled with peace from the heavens. 

My friend, we all long for heavenly peace. Let us declare boldly, “The Lord is with me; He is my helper. I will triumph over my enemies.” The Bible says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in the Lord.” This is the perfect peace that God wants to give you today as you open your heart and cry out. 

Prayer

“Loving Lord, thank Your word of blessing spoken to me today. Father, the world is full of misery and it is true that I long for peace; not just the peace of this world but heavenly peace. I ask You in Jesus’ name to fill me with this divine peace. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
