Predestined to be Like Christ

After the fall from the state of grace, beauty and harmony in which God created the entire universe, all of creation fell into a state of corruption, ugliness, and chaos. Man became corrupt, depraved, and lost from the inside out.

At the appointed and perfect time, the Son of God emerged from eternity, from the spiritual realm into time and history by adding to Himself a human nature (the Incarnation). He did this in order to redeem and “restore all things.” At the forefront of all things are those most precious and loved by His heart: the humans who were created in His likeness and image.

He is in the process of renewing our inner man day by day through His Holy Spirit, while our outer man will be restored and redeemed when He comes again. Until that blessed moment, we are predestined to be transformed into that exact image from glory to glory: the image of Jesus Christ. Becoming like Him and living as He did is our ultimate goal and destiny. The more we conform to His likeness, the more glory we bring to God’s name.

Glory to God through those who are in Christ Jesus and who by the Holy Spirit are being created and made to be sons of God, sons of light, and sons of the Holy One.

I encourage you to set your heart and life on Jesus Christ and on your divine predestination to become like Him.
