Origin,Identity & PurposeSample

Why do I exist, and what is the purpose of my life?
All human beings are created to “represent” god on earth and are imagers of god. The word “image” in Genesis 1:26 in the Hebrew language means: Shadow, a representative figure.
God chose for all human beings to be his representatives on earth, the ones who reflect his image. He chose that his visual representation would be in 'Persons' who are made by him, like him, and for him
How can humans represent god, reflect his image?
We can represent him and reflect his image by exercising his Communicable attributes. Communicable attributes are the Characteristics of God that can be shared with or reflected in human beings.
To illustrate:
Since God is love, we have the capacity and the ability to love and receive love. Since God is the Holy Creator, we can innovate and invent. And by exercising his Communicable attributes, we represent him and reflect his image and not only that, but we also bring glory to his holy name.
As Scripture reveals, reflecting God's image and glorifying him is the fundamental purpose of our existence. This isn't just for people who work in the church or serve in ministry. Each and every one of us, no matter our background, is meant to reflect God's image and bring glory to His name in everything we do.
Prayer: Lord God, thank You for creating me for this holy and ultimate purpose. Thank You for calling me to be Your image-bearer.
