DAY 1 OF 30

The Ministry We Have Received
Scripture: Colossians 1:25

Ministry is not a title reserved for a few; it is a responsibility given to every believer. The moment a person comes into Christ, they receive a stewardship from God. This ministry may differ in expression, but it is real, personal, and intentional. It is not self-assigned, nor is it accidental. It is given by God according to His purpose.
This matters because it removes passivity. You are not saved to observe; you are saved to participate. Ministry is how God works through you to reach others, build lives, and advance His purpose. It may be visible or quiet, public or private, but it is significant. A believer who understands this will begin to live with intention and responsibility.
When this truth is ignored, believers become spectators. They attend, listen, and receive, but never contribute. This leads to stagnation and unfulfilled purpose. A life without the consciousness of ministry becomes centered on self, and over time, dissatisfaction grows because purpose is being neglected.

Further Reading
2 Corinthians 5:18–20
Ephesians 4:11–12
1 Peter 4:10
Romans 12:4–6

Daily Exercise
Write down:
What you currently believe “ministry” means
Where you think you fit (even if unsure)
Then ask God deliberately to open your understanding throughout this month.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for the ministry You have given to me. Open my eyes to understand it clearly. Remove every form of passivity in my life and align me with Your purpose. I pray for believers, students, leaders, and families across Nigeria, that they will awaken to the ministry they have received and begin to take responsibility.
Lord, we ask that across nations, Your people will arise into their assignments. Let the Church worldwide move from observation to participation. Raise a generation that will fulfil Your purpose with clarity and commitment.

CONFESSION
I have received a ministry from the Lord. I walk in responsibility, clarity, and purpose.
