Exam Devotional

DAY 10 OF 12

JOY - DEVOTION 1 - JOY IN GOD’S GOODNESS

For our last three devotions, we are going to practise 'joy'. Try to take some time this week to lift your eyes from the things in front of you and remind yourself that God is good and that we can always rejoice in Him. We’ll be grabbing our cameras (or phones), stepping away from our studies for a moment, and going outside.

REFLECTION

Read Psalm 19:1-2. God shows us his goodness through the skies above us. Throughout history, when Christians have looked at the sky, they have been amazed at how great and wonderful the God who made it is. We can be joyful, because the God who made all of these wonderful things also made us.

APPLICATION

Go outside with your camera and look up. Take a picture which captures the beauty of the sky, maybe clouds, a sunrise, or the stars at night. Rejoice in the wonder of the world that God has made.

PRAYER

God, I rejoice in the beauty of creation. You are great and mighty, and your fingerprints are all around me. Help me to find joy in the wonders you have made.

About this Plan

Exam Devotional

Exams can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to walk through them alone. This 12-part devotional series from SU Scotland and 24-7 Prayer Scotland is a space to pause and reflect during exam season. Explore the four themes - Identity, Worries & Anxieties, Relationships and Joy - at your own pace, and see how God speaks into each area.
