WALKING WITH GOD
Enoch didn't write a bestselling book on spirituality. He didn't lead a revival or part a sea. Scripture simply says he walked with God — for three hundred years. And one day, God just took him. That's it. What a testimony of his life – he walked “in close fellowship with God”.
What if closeness with God isn't something you earn — it's something you walk into, one day at a time?
We've been conditioned to think depth with God comes through intensity — longer services, more dramatic encounters, heavier spiritual disciplines. But Enoch's story tells a different story. He walked. Steadily. Daily. With God as his companion rather than his destination.
Walking implies rhythm, not sprinting. It implies conversation, not performance. When you walk with someone, you talk about ordinary things — the pressing concerns of today, the hopes you're carrying, the small fears you haven't named yet. Walking together builds the kind of intimacy that a single powerful moment can never manufacture.
James 4:8 gives us the stunning promise: draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. The invitation isn't complicated. It's directional. Move toward Him, and He moves toward you. That's the beauty of a relationship with God.
In a season of prayer and fasting, God isn't asking for your performance. He's asking for your company. He wants to be the one you bring your day to before it begins and return to before it ends.
Today is simply Day Two of walking. The destination isn't a spiritual highlight reel. It's closeness — the kind that, after enough days, becomes the air you breathe. And you'll find the more you walk with Him, the more you'll want to.
Reflection: When you picture walking closely with God, what does that look like in the rhythms of your everyday life — not just in church or quiet times?
Call to Action: On your next walk, commute, or even around your home, speak out loud to God as though He is walking beside you. Ask Him what's on His heart today.
Prayer: Father, I want more than an occasional encounter — I want daily companionship. Teach me to walk with You through the ordinary moments as much as the significant ones. I draw near to You today. Amen.

About this Plan

Join us for 21 days of prayer and fasting as we reflect on what it means to be STILL and quiet ourselves before God. In a world that never stops moving, stillness can feel like a luxury we can't afford. But stillness is biblical. Psalm 46:10 encourages us “Be still and know that I am God!” Each day explores a different dimension of what it means to be truly still — this is not passive, but an intentional decision to stay connected to God and be sensitive to what His Spirit is doing and saying.
