She Reads Truth - DanielSample

...And (S)he Shall
When will our hearts learn?
Lord, help us not to read the prophecies about kings and men of old and feel disconnected and judgemental. Keep our hearts tender, our hands open, and our eyes on you. When favor comes, let it be for Your name's sake that we utilize it. If we are successful and blessed, break our hearts and burden us so that we attribute it to you and distribute it to our communities. If we have so much as a good hair day, Lord, help us to take our eyes off of ourselves and turn them right back to You - the only One deserving of our attention and affection.
Help us learn from our mistakes and the choices made by those who come before us. Help us not to be wise in our own eyes or quick to do things our way. Give us ears to hear correction and warning and wisdom from outside sources.
Where you give us freedom and choice, help us to seek Your will. Where you bless, make us a blessing. When you heed, help us to hear.

About this Plan

Maybe we’ve heard about Daniel and the lion’s den - but who was he really? Daniel was an exile from Judah in a foreign land (Babylon) with many eyes on him, watching which moves He would make and how those choices would define him. Let’s dig into Daniel together and let the Lord make Himself more known to us. Let’s read about the One who made Daniel’s story matter and who is still speaking truth to us through His words today.
