The Power of Persistent Prayer
Sometimes we pray once and expect instant results — but Kingdom prayer is often about persistence and partnership.
In Luke 11:9-10, Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Each verb — ask, seek, knock — speaks of ongoing action. Persistent prayer isn’t begging; it’s believing. When we keep praying, we demonstrate faith that refuses to give up.
Acts 12 tells how the early church prayed earnestly for Peter’s release — and God sent an angel to open the prison doors. Prayer moves heaven’s hand and breaks earthly chains.
Keep a prayer journal this week. Write down what you’re believing God for — then pray over it daily.
Prayer:
“Lord, teach me to pray with persistence and faith. I trust that as I knock, You are opening doors according to Your perfect will. Amen.”
