Pointers to PurposeSample

Created for Dominion, Fellowship, and Christlikeness
Devotional
Before you search for specifics, God calls you to embrace the foundation. The Bible reveals that every believer has three universal assignments that form the pillars of true purpose.
First, you were created for dominion. God placed the earth under man’s stewardship, meaning you were designed to influence, govern, build, and manage what He has made. This “dominion mandate” is not about dominating people, but about representing God’s order, creativity, and wisdom wherever you find yourself. Purpose always carries the responsibility of stewardship.
Second, you were designed for fellowship. Purpose is not first about doing but about being with God. Everything begins with knowing Him, hearing Him, and walking closely with Him. Fellowship is the place where clarity comes, strength rises, and identity is shaped. Even if you have not discovered your specific assignment, you are already in purpose when you pursue intimacy with God.
Finally, you were predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ. Christlikeness is not merely moral behaviour; it is spiritual transformation. It is becoming a living expression of Jesus—His character, compassion, wisdom, and authority. This means purpose is not fulfilled by activity alone, but by becoming the kind of person God intended.
If you stay anchored in these three—dominion, fellowship, and Christlikeness—you will never drift, even while waiting for clarity about specifics. They form the unchanging foundation beneath every unique calling.
Prayer
Lord, draw me into deeper fellowship with You. Shape me into the image of Christ and teach me to steward my life, gifts, and opportunities according to Your will. Amen.

About this Plan

God’s purpose is not mysterious or distant—He designed it to shape our lives, serve humanity, and bring Him glory. In Christ, we discover identity, direction, clarity, and meaning. This 5-day devotional will help you understand what purpose truly is, how God reveals it, and how to recognize the signs pointing you toward your assignment. Through Scripture, reflection, and prayer, you will learn to see purpose not as an achievement, but as fellowship with God and partnership in His plan for mankind.
