Purpose begins with God’s intention long before it becomes our discovery. Scripture opens our eyes to a God who has been working out an agenda for humanity before time began. Romans 8 shows us that purpose is rooted in foreknowledge, predestination, calling, and divine shaping. This means that your purpose is older than your birth, older than your ambitions, and older than your struggles. You are stepping into something God already planned.

Purpose also reveals the heart of God toward mankind. Everything He does is designed to restore, empower, and transform human beings. God’s purpose is deeply relational—He is not simply assigning tasks; He is partnering with people. Your life becomes meaningful when you see that God involves you in what matters most to Him: people.

Understanding purpose begins with seeing how your calling connects to the welfare and flourishing of others. Purpose touches the spirit, soul, and body. It brings healing, wisdom, order, growth, correction, hope, and freedom to humanity. This perspective protects you from selfish interpretations of purpose and aligns you with God’s eternal plan.

When you perceive purpose through God’s eyes, clarity begins to grow. You realise you are not just living to “find your place” but to participate in God’s mission on earth.

Prayer

Father, open my eyes to see purpose the way You see it. Help me understand Your plan for mankind and my place in it. Conform my desires to Your intentions. Amen.
