Title: The Power to Take Over
Walk with me; You wake up rushing to get ready for school, you throw on your clothes, barely brush your teeth, rush out the door and realize; you forgot to charge your phone! Trying to live your whole day with your phone stuck at 1% is a terrible feeling. That’s what it’s like when we try to follow Jesus without the Holy Spirit. A lot of us are trying to take over the world on 1% power. But Jesus told His disciples, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.” In other words, when the Holy Spirit takes over my life, I can take over my city for JESUS
Before the disciples preached, healed, traveled, or reached thousands, Jesus told them to wait. Why? Because their mission needed more than giftings, it needed power from Heaven. When the Spirit fills you, confidence rises, fear falls, and boldness abounds.
Your world, your school, your team, your friend group is waiting for someone fully charged by God. So today, submit yourself to Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to take over your thoughts, your actions, your conversations. Because the takeover doesn’t start with a mission, it starts with submission.
One more time, say it with me! When the Holy Spirit takes over my life, I can take over my city for JESUS!
