Seek First 365: A One Year Bible Reading Plan for Daily DevotionSample

Reflection:
- What are some actions of those who follow God’s ways in Psalm 1? How do those differ from the actions of those who are described as wicked?
- In the psalm, what are the rewards of following God’s ways? And what are the consequences for those who reject God’s ways?
- Where in your life is it currently difficult to obey Jesus’ teachings, and how can Psalm 1 encourage you to choose obedience over your own will?
Pray and Apply:
Pray for a couple of minutes and ask the Holy Spirit to show you if there is any disobedience you need to repent. If so, ask for forgiveness, and receive God’s grace as you surrender your will in exchange for God’s will. Or, if you need some encouragement in areas of your life that are already in obedience with God, jot down a blessing from Psalm 1 that stood out to you in your Seek First Journal and reread it a few times today. Remember to thank God that this is the promise He has made to you and that this is what you will experience throughout your life!

About this Plan

Seek First 365 is a one-year Bible reading plan designed to help you build a daily rhythm of reading Scripture, meditating on God’s Word, praying, and journaling. Instead of rushing through several chapters each day, Seek First 365 invites you to slow down and focus on a single passage—or even part of a chapter. The goal isn’t speed, but transformation. Each day is crafted to help you linger in God’s Word, listen to the Spirit, and let His truth shape your heart, mind, and life.
