What Exactly Is Faith?Sample

There is the prayer of faith and the prayer of fear. The former has confidence in God that what He has promised in His word will come to pass, while the latter hopes that what they are afraid of will not happen. The difference is in their focus.
While one is focused on God's word, the other is focused on the situation. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines confidence as a ''feeling of consciousness in one's powers". When you pray, search your heart and ask, What am I more conscious about? God's powers or my situation?
Elijah had heard in his spirit the sound of abundance of rain. He was confident in that revelation in spite of the fact that rain had not fallen in more than 3 years. Even when Elijah began to pray, he told his servant to check for any signs, and although there were no signs yet, he was still confident that what he had heard in his spirit would come to pass.
The question is, where is your confidence? Confidence keeps going. It doesn't stop at the first hindrance or disappointment. As a man or woman of prayer, you must not get tired easily. Like in any sports game, if you are confident your team will win despite the fact that they are currently losing, you will stay till the very end of the game. Fans who walk out on their teams in the middle of the game do so because they have lost confidence.
The prayer of faith is a prayer of confidence.
About this Plan

The one ingredient we cannot do without if we choose to walk with God. Think of it this way: if God is the destination, faith is the transportation.
