What Exactly Is Faith?Sample

The Israelites stood trapped between two impossibilities. Behind them thundered Pharaoh’s army, the very captors they had just escaped, charging to drag them back into slavery. Before them, the Red Sea, deep and uncrossable.

Why did God put them in this situation? He planned their deliverance, He sent Moses to lead them, He knew the escape route. So why didn’t He part the Red Sea before they arrived? Because "without faith, it is impossible to please God". It is impossible to make God happy.

When life throws challenges at us, God gets excited that we choose to trust Him. When we remember with Him, seas part, mountains move, giants fall, dry bones come alive, all things are possible. As believers, we will face our own “Red Sea” moments. The question is not if they will come, but how we will respond. Panic and complaints never move God, but faith does.

Exercising faith is what pleases God.
