What Exactly Is Faith?Sample

Faith is more than talk. Faith is action.

James wrote that “the body without the spirit is dead”. Think about that. A body may look beautiful and strong on the outside, but without the unseen life within, it’s motionless, just form without function. The same is true of faith. Without action, it’s lifeless.

Like a clock without batteries or a car without fuel, faith can only move when it’s powered by works. If you believe in loving your neighbour, don’t just say it, show it. If you believe in succeeding at your craft, don’t just dream it, do the work.

The world is full of people who speak beautifully about what they believe, yet disappear when it’s time to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. Be the exception.

When Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love me?” Peter quickly replied, “Yes, Lord, I do.” But Jesus didn’t stop there. He said, “Feed my sheep.” In other words, prove it. Love, like faith, is more than a confession; it’s demonstrated through action.

Remember, just like a clock with no batteries, faith without action is dead.
