The truth that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh is called the “deity” of Christ. Belief that Jesus Christ is God Himself in the flesh is necessary to be saved from one's sins and go to heaven. Paul wrote that all the “fullness of God” dwells bodily in Christ. He isn’t partly divine or temporarily human—He is fully God and fully man. The incarnation wasn’t a disguise; it was deity stepping into humanity. One famous commentator mistakenly said, “There is nothing in his human blood that saves.” It wasn’t human blood; it was the blood of God.
Thank the Lord for His perfect life and blood that was given for us! Without it, we would have no hope!
