Jesus’ deity is shown through His names, such as "Lord", Jehovah, the I AM". When Jesus said, “Before Abraham was, I AM,” He used the same divine name God gave Moses from the burning bush. Jesus wasn’t claiming seniority—He was declaring eternality. The self-existent One of Exodus stands in the Gospels as the same Lord, now face-to-face with His creation. There is a reason that when Christ declared, “Before Abraham was, I am,” they took stones to stone Him. They knew exactly Who He claimed to be. Jesus Christ Himself claimed to be God!
