Perhaps you’re a new Christian, and you’re being mentored. Or you may not have been discipled yet. Strive to grow in your faith to the place where you can one day mentor and pass truth on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Mentoring is a part of God’s plan for our spiritual development in the church. As we grow and are mentored and discipled, God wants us to, in turn, help others grow as well, and then for those to also become mentors. It’s a ministry of replication in Christ.
