Cultivate relationships with purpose.
Few relationships develop and thrive without purposeful effort and action. Purpose to encourage one another in ministry. Encouragement comes more easily for some than others, but it’s well worth the effort to strive as much as you can to be an encourager to the flock of God. The Apostle Paul was a great encourager, and we see him always giving exhortations throughout the New Testament. In 2 Timothy 4, we see him toward the end of his ministry still encouraging others, even in the face of many setbacks and discouragements sent by the enemy to foil his work. Encourage your brethren in the Lord; even as we see the ominous clouds ahead, be of good cheer. As we are told in Hebrews 10:25, we should be “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
