Back to the Basics 365Sample

When we experience temptation, that in itself is not sin. Jesus, during His time on Earth, experienced temptation in human form, yet never sinned. But temptation can lead to sin, so when disciples of Jesus are in moments of temptation, they should remain vigilant.
When we feel tempted, we have the power to resist the temptation and escape its grasp. The sooner you act, the better; it is not wise to fool around with temptation. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Temptations we experience are common to man.
However, God is faithful to not allow any temptation in our lives that we are not able to resist with His help. With each temptation we encounter, God provides a way of escape so that we will be able to say "no" to it. We do not have to give in to temptation, but if we fail to plan, we plan to fail.
