As a single man, I remember visiting my friend Jason's house. His parents were Christians and invited me to spend the weekend with them one summer. I recall walking into their home and seeing religious decorations throughout. However, they weren't statues or paintings of saints. Instead, there were verses from the Bible and encouraging reminders like, "With God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). Everywhere I looked, there were Bible verses on plaques, photos, wooden carvings, and more.
I do not remember much else about that home, but I do remember thinking, "When I have my own place, I want God's Word to be everywhere." Praise God for His Word!
