🔥 Day 2: Fuel — Your Body, Soul, and Spirit

Key Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 — “May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

If you want to burn for God, you need fuel — and your fuel is you. Every part of who you are is meant to glorify Him: your body, soul, and spirit. Each one plays a unique role in keeping your flame alive.

🔥 Body: Your body is the physical temple where the Holy Spirit dwells. Fasting, tithing, abstinence and refusing sin are ways to deny the flesh so your spirit can grow stronger. Galatians 5:24 says, “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” Surrendering the flesh to be fuel means to interact with the physical world in a way that honors Christ and is in perfect alignment with His Word.

🔥 Soul: Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions. Essentially the soul is the throne on which your personality is seated. This is where spiritual battles often take place. To burn for God, your soul must be renewed. Study Scripture, practice forgiveness, and surrender your will to His. Let fruits of the Holy Spirit like peace, joy, and love replace your natural emotions. Let studying scripture renew your mind and ways of thinking. Allow yourself to surrender your soul for God’s purposes and see how your life begins to reflect God’s will rather than the sinful will of our human nature.

🔥 Spirit: Your spirit connects you directly to God. Prayer connects your spirit to the spirit of God for open communication, thus denying a spirit of independence from God. Worship allows our spirit to enter into the presence of God, and a spirit of praise denies a spirit of pride and hatred. Obedience and repentance align our spirit with Jesus, which denies a spirit of sin and death. The more you yield to the Holy Spirit, the more your inner flame grows.

When all three of your body, soul, and spirit are surrendered as fuel, your life becomes combustible in the best way possible. You’re ready to ignite revival wherever you go.

Lord, I give You my body, soul, and spirit. Purify me and make me fuel for Your fire. Let my entire being glorify You. Amen.
