Is It True That God Speaks?Sample

But there has to be more!
Yes, God can speak to us in many ways: in dreams like Joseph had (Genesis 37–44), through prophecies (Acts 2:17-18), and in countless ways we sometimes cannot even imagine. But the foundation of everything is prayer.
Jesus explained it like this:
"My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27, NVI)
Think of it this way: a sheep only recognizes its shepherd after spending time with him, hearing his voice over and over. Similarly, to recognize God’s voice, we need to spend time with Him.
And no, it doesn’t mean being on your knees 24 hours a day. It means integrating it into your life: talking to Him in your car or on the bus, thanking Him for a nice detail, asking for guidance before making a decision, telling Him how you feel, trusting Him with your challenges.
The more time you spend with Him, the more you will recognize His voice.
Little by little, your “spiritual ears” are tuned, and there’s no doubt:
He speaks, and you hear Him.
Practical Application:
Prayer is not a boring ritual; it’s a real conversation with God.
Prayer builds intimacy and trust.
The more you talk to Him, the easier it is to recognize His voice.
Daily Challenge:
Wherever you are now, take a few minutes to talk to God:
- Thank Him for something you have.
- Tell Him how you feel today.
- Ask Him for guidance in a decision you have ahead.
Remember what He promised:
'‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
Prayer:
“Lord, thank You because You know me and call me by name. Help me spend time with You every day, to enjoy Your company, and to recognize Your voice amid the noise. Tune my spiritual ears to follow You without doubt. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
