Is It True That God Speaks?Sample

And if I read… are You speaking to me?
When I was a child, it was popular to open the Bible at random and read the first thing that appeared… as if it were a direct message from God to me.
And you know what? Sometimes it worked! God spoke to me exactly through that verse.
But honestly, sometimes it scared me… you’d ask God to speak, open the Bible, and bam, something about judgment or death! I’d flip it open two or three more times just to find something uplifting, haha. The Bible isn’t a magic trick or lucky charm, it’s way more than that. It’s meant to guide, teach, and encourage us.
The Bible is much more than a book: it is the guide He left us, full of His love and character, so that we can know Him and learn from Him.
What’s impressive is that God loves us so much that He left traces of His heart on every page. He is not a distant God: He is close, tender, and wants to speak to you in everyday life.
Many times, when I felt confused, there was His Word: just right, alive, and ready to give me the answer I needed.
Do not underestimate it! Every time you open it, God Himself is speaking to you.
Key Advice:
God will NEVER tell you anything that contradicts His Word. The Bible is the foundation and the measure of every spiritual voice.
"'But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8 (KJV)
Practical Application:
The Bible is not a 'random luck charm' to open blindly (though it’s okay if you do sometimes!); it is God’s constant voice. He speaks to you whenever you read it with a willing heart. Your Bible is God’s love letter to you.
Daily Challenge:
Choose a passage from the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John).
- Read it slowly.
- Write in your notebook: Which part do I feel God is speaking directly to me today?
- Write a phrase that summarizes God’s voice in your life.
Prayer:
“Thank You, Lord, because Your Word is not an old book, but a living voice. Thank You for speaking to me through each verse and showing me who You are. Help me seek You in the Bible every day, to hear Your voice, and to obey You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
