Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

DAY 3 OF 12

God is our Joy

1. Spend a few moments praising God for being our Joy.

Definition: Source or cause of keen pleasure or delight; something or someone greatly valued or appreciated; having a peace and contentment no matter the circumstances

2. Next, spend a few moments silently confessing your sins to our loving God who forgives.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NASB)

3. Now, let's spend some time thanking our heavenly Father for the many ways He has been our Joy.

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)

4. Then, let us pray: LORD, may You satisfy me in the morning with Your unfailing love, that I may sing for joy and be glad all my days. From Psalm 90:14

Lastly, put your child’s name (or someone who needs prayer) in the scripture prayer: LORD, may You satisfy ________ in the morning with Your unfailing love, that ________ may sing for joy and be glad all his/her days. From Psalm 90:14

About this Plan

Remembering Who God Is This Christmas Season

Moms in Prayer uses the Four Steps of Prayer method to engage our hearts in relationship with our loving Father. Each day's plan calls us to focus on a unique attribute of God to help us keep Him at the center of this Christmas season. This plan uses the steps of Praise, Confession (Repentance), Thanksgiving, Intercession (asking for help with whatever we or our loved ones are facing). Each prayer is accompanied by Bible passages that give us a deeper understanding of God's attributes.
