Purpose and platforms I

When Joseph was a teenager, God began to show him glimpses of his destiny (Genesis 37:5-10). He saw his family members, including his parents, all bowing down to him. He understood this to be some similitude of greatness ahead of him, but he didn't understand the purpose yet.

This is how God begins to intimate you about His plan for your life. He first shows the pictures of purpose in form of platforms. As we wait on Him, He unfolds the purpose to us.

Platforms are for divine purpose. God makes us great in order to advance His agenda through us on earth. Joseph's growth was not just into the office of a prime minister, he also grew in his knowledge of the purpose of God for that office.

There are folks God has elevated in life but squander that privilege out of ignorance. Your accurate understanding of God's purpose for the promotion, prosperity and platforms He is bringing you into is critical to your ascension to that heights. Many have failed the test of greatness with how they handled the "demo" platform God gave them (Luke 16:10).

We can see Joseph's understanding of God's plan in his conversation with his brothers (Genesis 45:1-8; 50:19-21). He didn't introduce his position by the office he occupied in the land but by its divine role in God's eternal plan. He was sent to preserve the lineage of the messiah.
