The Indescribable Gift – a 7-Day Christmas JourneySample

Indescribable Gift!
“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15). With this heartfelt exclamation, the Apostle Paul summarizes the wonder of God’s greatest act of love. Words fall short when we try to describe the glory of the gift God gave at Christmas—the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. No human vocabulary can capture the depth of divine love that stooped down to redeem fallen humanity.
From the beginning of time, God planned to send His Son as the perfect expression of His grace. This gift was not wrapped in royal robes or presented in a palace but was given in humility—a baby born in a manger. Yet through that humble birth came salvation, reconciliation, and eternal life. The prophets longed for this moment, the angels celebrated it, and the world was forever changed by it.
This indescribable gift brings forgiveness to the guilty, hope to the brokenhearted, and light to those in darkness. It is a gift that continues to transform lives across generations. The only fitting response to such grace is worship and gratitude. Christmas is not just a time to receive gifts, but to remember The Gift—Jesus Christ, God’s Son given for us.
As recipients of this inexpressible love, we are also called to reflect it. Gratitude should overflow in generosity, kindness, and service to others.
Reflection: How can I express my thankfulness for this indescribable gift—not only in words, but through a life of worship, love, and obedience?
