The Pursuit - 12 WeeksSample

Jesus continues the lesson by targeting motives. Give quietly. Pray sincerely. Fast without showing off. Then He teaches the Lord’s Prayer—a pattern that begins with God’s greatness and ends with humble dependence: “Give us today our daily bread.” In the same chapter, He warns against anxiety and misplaced treasure, urging us to seek God’s kingdom first.
Establishing disciples means helping them move from outward performance to inward trust. True faith isn’t just knowing the right words; it’s learning to rely on the Father for every need. Jesus trains His followers to view money, worry, and reputation through the lens of faith.
Reflection:
What daily concern tends to dominate your prayers? How could you practice seeking God’s kingdom first in that area?
