The Pursuit - 12 WeeksSample

We end the week where we began—with Peter. The same man who once dropped his nets to follow Jesus (Luke 5) now sits on a beach after denying Him three times. Jesus appears after the resurrection, cooks breakfast, and asks three gentle questions: “Do you love me?” Each time Peter answers yes, Jesus replies, “Feed my sheep.” The failed fisherman becomes a shepherd.
This is empowerment in its purest form. Jesus doesn’t replace Peter; He restores him. He takes the man who once said, “Go away from me, Lord,” and sends him out saying, “Follow me.” Disciple-making always circles back to that moment—grace received, mission renewed.
Reflection:
Where have you failed God in the past, and how might He be inviting you—like Peter—to get back in the boat and start fishing for people again?
