The Pursuit - 12 WeeksSample

When Paul first came to Corinth, he didn’t rely on clever speeches or flashy presentations. In a city that prized intelligence, debate, and eloquence, Paul’s approach looked weak. But that was the point. The gospel doesn’t spread through human brilliance; it spreads through God’s Spirit.
That same principle applies today. In disciple-making, our goal isn’t to impress people—it’s to connect them to Jesus. The Spirit does what no argument or personality ever could: He opens hearts, convicts of truth, and reveals the wisdom of God that the world can’t understand. Our job is simply to speak the truth with humility and trust the Spirit to do the rest.
Paul reminds us that spiritual understanding comes only through the Spirit. You can explain Scripture clearly, but only God can make it come alive in someone’s heart. That’s both humbling and freeing.
In a world obsessed with influence and image, Paul’s example brings us back to the basics: preach Christ, depend on the Spirit, and leave the results to God.
Reflection:
When you share your faith or lead others, do you rely more on your own abilities or on the Spirit’s power? How can you depend more fully on Him this week?
