Day 7: Let us be a Fragrance of Love

We don't need to do many things to enjoy God's love; in itself, if we look closely, we are surrounded by His love, physically and spiritually. If you've ever had the opportunity to see a wildflower in the city that breaks through the pavement and appears where one would not imagine, it is the hand of the Lord showing you an illustration of what love is, a powerful force that breaks through adversity and shows its best. It is in the small details, if we look at them through God's eyes, that they can have such an impact on our lives and where we can find the purpose to love. The very essence of God is love. Love is powerful; it disarms, conquers, transforms, and liberates. This is because love gives purpose to everything.

Christ is the ultimate demonstration of God's love! His death on the cross is the gift of grace given to us by Heavenly Father. God has already taken the initiative; He has surrounded us with love. He has given us purpose; His Spirit guides us to the truth; and He made us in His image and likeness. It's not difficult to love; it's part of who we are. We are beings with the capacity to love. When we spend time with God and allow Him to shape us, our testimony, our entire life, gives off the aroma of Christ, the fragrance of love.

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to give us discernment so we can perceive His love even in the common things of life. Friend, you don't have to go far to find and give love. Evangelist Henry Drummond said, "Where love is, there is God."

Beloved, let us teach our children this truth. When we live filled with God's love, others perceive it, but above all, God perceives it, He is pleased, and it brings a smile to His face.
