I Know a GuySample

As we read through sections of the book of Mark, we see people (including the disciples) wrestle with the identity and words of Jesus that challenge their expectations. Today, you’ll read about two different moments that point to Jesus as the Son of God in dramatic ways.
Pay attention and notice if an image or phrase stands out to you as you read (or listen to) the scriptures.
Read Mark 9:2-29.
- What do you know about Jesus from these scenes and conversations?
- How would you describe people’s reactions to Jesus?
- What would your response to Jesus be in either of these situations?
Is there a situation you’re facing right now where you need the power of God to break through? What would it look like to ask and trust Jesus with it today?
Prayer: Jesus, I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief.

About this Plan

Jesus is undoubtedly famous. You are likely familiar with some of His teachings, His story, and His impact. However, the more you get to know Him, the more you realize—there’s so much more to know! You are invited to spend 25 days not only deepening your knowledge of Jesus but also strengthening your relationship with Him. As you do that, it will open you up to Him and to more life-changing friendships with others.
