I Know a GuySample

Jesus did not hide or turn away from pain. Today, you will read about Jesus’ arrest and trial. There is a lot of activity and discussion about Jesus, but his words are few.
Read Luke 22:47-71 and Luke 23:1-25.
- Look at the words of Jesus in these verses. What do you notice?
- How does Jesus approach his suffering?
- What do you notice about how people talk about and treat Jesus?
Jesus had every right to argue with the people accusing him and mocking him. He is who he claimed to be, and yet, he does not respond with force or fighting.
Prayer: Jesus, I am humbled by your example. Guide me as I pause and consider your willingness to suffer unjustly.

About this Plan

Jesus is undoubtedly famous. You are likely familiar with some of His teachings, His story, and His impact. However, the more you get to know Him, the more you realize—there’s so much more to know! You are invited to spend 25 days not only deepening your knowledge of Jesus but also strengthening your relationship with Him. As you do that, it will open you up to Him and to more life-changing friendships with others.
